PhD Holders Greeted
New PhD holders of Excise Department, Smt. Rajitha T, and Smt. Lisha S. were greeted by the Excise Commissioner, for their achievement, in a meeting conducted at Excise Head Quarters, Thiruvananthapuram on 26/04/2019. Smt. Rajitha T. obtained the Doctoral Degree in History from Kerala University, and Smt Lisha S. obtained the Doctoral Degree in Positive Psychology from Bharathiar University.
Awareness class about Plastic Ban
An Awareness class in connection with plastic ban is conducted at Excise Headquarters by the Pollution Control Board on 29/03/2019. Excise officials from all districts were participated in the program. Excise Commissioner gave instructions to them.
6kg Ganja seized at Excise Check Post Muthanga
Muthanga Excise Checkpost party seized 6kg of dry ganja concealed inside the rear bumber iner part of Maruthi Ritz car bearing Reg. No. KL-52-G-2526 and arrested two persons hailing from tirur, Malappuram.
13.5 kg Hashish Oil seized worth 13 Crore
Trivandrum Excise Circle inspector T. Anikumar and party seized 13.5 kg Hashish oil worth 13 crore in the open market and Rs. 840000 from an innova car near Akkulam. The accused are from Idukki, Andra and Thiruvananthapuram . Excise Commissioner Sri. Rishiraj Singh IPS questioned the arrested persons.
Website Inauguration
Hon’ble Minister for Excise and Labour, inaugurated the new website of Excise department – excise.kerala.gov.in, on 05/03/2019 in the presence of Excise Commissioner and other higher officials. The new website is designed and developed exclusively by Excise IT Cell. Links to all relevant services, such as ecurb, serviceplus, e-office, spark etc and various department websites are available. Information regarding various GO’s, abstract of Abkari Act, address of all offices, offenses and punishment, license fees, transfer orders etc are also available in concerned header menu.
Inauguration of Digital Wireless System
Excise Commissioner Sri. Rishi Raj Singh IPS launched digital wireless system for the department personnel in Ernakulam at program held at Angamali. The digital wireless communication has features like GPS, voice recording and End to End Encryption.
Vimukthi Marathon
As a part of campaign against the use of narcotic drugs “Vimukthi Mission” conducted a half marathon at cochin. Excise department aims to enlighten which inhabitants of the danger of drugs and to insist in them affinity to physical activity by conducting the Half-Marathon.
